The Sun
The Sun is a temporary exhibition at the Science Museum, London which explores the incredible story of our closest star through hands-on experiences, unique objects and stunning imagery.
The exhibition aims to engage both local family audiences as well as appeal to the significant international visitor base for the Science Museum. The exhibition synthesises around 200 historical and contemporary objects with spatial design of 4 separate sections, each embodying a specific time, place or theme.
A variety of immersive spaces and atmospheres, such as a ziggurat, light beam and beach, give support to the overriding exhibition themes. We worked with Fraser Muggeridge studio to incorporate an ambitious range of imagery and infographics; as well as film-makers, sound and digital designers to create both standalone and integrated moments of interaction.
Sam Jacob Studio are now working on adapting the designs for the exhibition to travel to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
